Before step one: You are using a Web browser, such as Internet Explorer, to view Help. For all procedures, switch back to Internet Mail and News by clicking one of its windows or choosing it on the Finder menu before you do step one. |
- If the Mail window is not open, choose Mail from the Windows menu.
- On the Mail menu, choose New Mail Folder.
- Type a name for the new folder.

- If the Mail window is not open, choose Mail from the Windows menu.
- In the message list, select the mail message you want to move.
- On the Message menu, point to Move Message To, and then choose the folder you want to move the message to. Or, drag the message from the message list to the folder.
Note
- You cannot move any messages into or out of the Outbox folder.

- On the Mail menu, choose Rename Mail Folder.
- Type a new name for the folder.

- On the Mail menu, point to Compact Folders, and then choose the folder you want to compact.
Note
- Mail messages are stored in a database (located in your user folder within the IMN User(s) folder) that grows in size as you add, edit, and delete messages. Compacting a folder will delete any unneeded space and information in the database and make it smaller in size.
